The System/Network Administrator I works full-time at our offices in Mission, KS, as part of a team that provides professional managed I.T. services to IDEOLITY clients. (Hybrid office/home may be available after job duties are mastered.) On-site client visits are also scheduled as needed. Mileage is reimbursed.   

 

The ideal candidate (you) should be ready and able to:   

  • Communicate professionally and concisely with clients, vendors and the IDEOLITY team to report and resolve software, hardware, and operations problems. 

  • Document work time details in our PSA system and document client information in IDEOLITY’s knowledge base. 

  • Possess a superior Information Technology skill set grounded in Microsoft software products, including the ability and experience to install, configure, deploy and troubleshoot desktop and server software, cloud applications and database management software.  

  • Recognize, rapidly respond and fix end-user malware infections 

  • Respond to the needs and questions of network users concerning their access to resources on the network and the operation of various software programs.  

  • Establish and maintain network user environment, directories, and security according to IDEOLITY’s stringent standards. 

  • Implement and maintain disaster recovery procedures including backup system setup and testing, failover testing, etc. 

  • Consult with client and peers at IDEOLITY to develop system solutions consistent with organizational objectives.  

  • Research and evaluate appropriate technologies that emerge. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned and according to your interests

Education and/or Experience:    

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.   

  • Preference will be given to candidates with an Associate or Bachelor degree from an accredited university.  

  • Certifications from Microsoft, CompTIA, etc. are desirable.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee must regularly lift and/or carry/move between 20-35 pounds as IDEOLITY delivers equipment to clients and recycles older computer equipment. The employee may sometimes need to walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and use a step ladder.  

You will use your own vehicle to travel to/from work and appointments at our clients, compensated by the mile.

The Senior User Support Specialist works full-time at our offices in Mission, KS, as part of a team that provides professional managed I.T. services to IDEOLITY clients.  

 

POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior User Support Specialist focuses primarily on resolving end-user questions, problems and requests. But there’s much more to it: analyzing data to detect trends and identify issues that affect multiple users or organizations, being alert to emergent malware attacks, anticipating client user needs, and more. Top of mind should be how IDEOLITY can go above and beyond expectations in providing best-in-class I.T. service to its clients. This position combines elements of scheduling, project management and team coordination along with significant client interaction. 

 

IDEOLITY is a technology consulting firm based in the Kansas City area with deep experience in supporting nonprofits. We operate as a Managed Services Provider (MSP), providing comprehensive I.T. support, planning and management. Job description details: 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve issues impacting one or many users of varying complexity. 

  • Interact with IDEOLITY client end users to assure they are able to function without impediment in their I.T. environment. 

  • Communicate clearly, concisely and professionally with team members and clients verbally, in-person and in written form. 

  • Achieve mastery of IDEOLITY’s Professional Services Automation and quoting software. Maintain documentation within the Professional Services Automation of all communication with clients.  

  • With IDEOLITY team members, maintain inventory and ensure that in-house assets are documented and accounted for.  

  • Interface with various 3rd party vendors to ensure coordination when required.  

 

 PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS  

  • Associate degree plus at least three years related work experience, or 4-year college degree and two years related work experience.  

  • Experience in courteous direct client support.  

  • Familiarity with typical office and line-of-business software  

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office Suite  

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

COMPENSATION: The Senior User Support Specialist is an hourly employment position. The expectation is for a 40-hour work week. IDEOLITY provides a compensation package including health insurance, plus company-paid short- and long-term disability insurance for all employees. Employee 401(k) contributions are matched up to 4 percent. Time off includes typical national holidays plus earned PTO. The pay rate is a function of qualifications and experience, and we will interview aspirational as well as seasoned cand
